He often commented that he felt like he was walking through destiny, directtv, fulfilling it day by day in preparation for the next trial. His mission was service to his country. It seemed that sheer will helped him maintain Britain as a great democracy. He was often spoken of with great respect because of his courage and tenacity. It was a contagious tough spirit that gave encouragement and support to those at home and abroad. His dedication to fulfilling his destiny led Britain through World War II. He was highly decorated and rewarded with an honorary United States citizenship. A political career and writing books were accomplishments of Winston Churchill, along with his artistic ability.

Winston Churchill used military valor exhibited while in South Africa to secure the Oldham seat in Parliament in 1900. He would hold this seat until 1906 when he, as a Liberal, gained the Manchester North West Seat. In 1908, Churchill joined the Cabinet as the President of the Board of Trade.
